Dalcour Maclaren and Blood Cancer UK
Dalcour Maclaren on a mission to beat blood cancer and their £25,000 fundraising target.
In 2019, Dalcour Maclaren kick started their year of fundraising for Blood Cancer UK with a ‘Wear it Red for Blood Cancer UK’ day. From then on, staff from Dalcour Maclaren’s offices went all-out to reach their £25,000 target. The year was packed with activities from bake sales to sweepstakes, six-a-side tournaments to pub quizzes, an office cycleathon to the great north run.
During our partnership, Dalcour Maclaren colleagues took on a range of challenges. 13 teams took part in the Blood Cancer UK Blenheim Palace Triathlon, colleagues from various offices took part in the “Tour De Central”, a 106k, cycle ride from their Leamington Spa offices to their offices in Bicester. Approaching fundraising from a slightly different angle, members of the Cheshire and Mansfield office received votes via their JustGiving page to determine who took on their charity wax off - an equally daunting challenge!
“It’s been amazing to see how dedicated Dalcour Maclaren have been to reaching their £25K fundraising target– throughout the year we’ve seen the team take on a huge variety of events, showing that everyone can do their bit in the fight to beat blood cancer. We’re delighted that their efforts have raised an incredible £36,557.08, over £11,000 more than their target! Thank you to everyone at Dalcour Maclaren for playing their part in supporting us.”
Tom Tyler, Head of Partnerships, Blood Cancer UK
‘The DM team have exceeded their target, and we’ve seen a fantastic effort led by the fundraising team which has really engaged the whole organisation. I am really proud of our efforts which have raised so much for a fantastic charity doing such valuable research into this awful disease, which has affected the lives of many of us within DM. Fundraising is a great way to reinforce our ‘one team’ approach to working life- well done everyone and thank you Blood Cancer UK for all your support.’
James Neil, Managing Director, Dalcour Maclaren
