Safeguarding at Blood Cancer UK

We are committed to safeguarding adults and children in line with national legislation and local guidelines. Our priority is to ensure all our activities are delivered safely and that everyone we work with is protected from harm.

We promote a zero‑tolerance approach to abuse, exploitation and neglect. This means recognising when someone may be at risk, understanding how harm can occur, and taking responsibility for reporting concerns.

Safeguarding applies across all settings - within our organisation, in community or voluntary activities, and in people’s homes or care environments.

Our safeguarding policy ensures that everyone involved with Blood Cancer UK understands:

  • The legislation, policies and procedures that guide safeguarding
  • Their responsibilities in keeping people safe
  • How and where to report concerns about anyone’s welfare

We have a designated Safeguarding Lead and a team of Safeguarding Officers who are available to respond to any concerns.
