Here’s how to plan your 24-hour challenge step-by-step:

Step one

Choose your activity and commit to doing it for 24 hours. You could dance, read, game, walk, run, or create your own unique challenge that keeps you going from start to finish. It’s all about planning the challenge in a way that works for you.

Step two

Sign up to get your fundraising pack. You’ll receive an instant digital guide with ideas, tips and tools to help you plan your challenge, plus an optional pack in the post.

Step three

Pick your date and make it official by setting up your JustGiving page . Let people know what you’re taking on and why you’re doing it.

Step four

Use your fundraising pack to build excitement. Share countdowns, progress updates and photos to keep supporters engaged and donations coming in throughout the 24 hours.

Step five

Take on your challenge and give it everything you’ve got. Every donation you receive helps us move closer to beating blood cancer.

The impact of your donations

  • £100 could help keep our online Forum running for a day, giving people a safe space to connect with others.
  • Could fund a Clinical Trials Support Nurse to help find a clinical trial for three people with blood cancer.
  • Could fund a month of lab experiments to help researchers find better treatments for a specific blood cancer.

Tips from our fundraisers

Supporter Laura

“After losing my father to leukaemia, I put some of my grief into raising funds and awareness for Blood Cancer UK. I organised a 24-hour gaming stream on the platform Twitch. I invited other streamers to come together and help fundraise with their own communities while we all played the same game. I was amazed by the support our communities were able to show. I have organised 5 streams now, raising £2,707!"
