The suggested arrival time is 5.30pm. You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time. (The Walk of Light London official start time is 6.30pm.)

Please make sure you wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions including layers as you will feel colder once you’ve finished the event than when you’re taking part. Ensure you bring warm weather gear and waterproofs even if it looks dry.

Can I sign up to Walk of Light London as part of a team?

Yes, we'd love for you to join us with your team. As team leader, please make sure that every member of your team registers for the event.

The event registration fee covers the cost of your free lantern upon arrival and your medal at the finish. It also allows us to make sure that as much of your fundraising as possible can go towards our work to beat blood cancer and support those affected by blood cancer.

What facilities will there be at Walk of Light London?

At the event village we will have a registration and merchandise tent, water to refill your water bottles, toilets and food available to purchase.

What's the age limit at Walk of Light London?

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.

What if I have a medical condition or am undergoing medical treatment?

We have designed the route to be as accessible as possible. If you have a medical condition our organisers / medical team should be aware of, please contact [email protected] to let us know. Please note, by letting us know of your medical conditions, you are happy for us to pass this on to Massive (our Walk of Light event partners) and our medical provider.

Can I bring my dog to Walk of Light London?

Yes, you can bring your dog. We do ask that dogs are kept on a lead, they must be well-behaved and there must be one adult per dog at all times. The site could be very busy and at certain points there may be crowds therefore it’s not appropriate to bring nervous dogs.

Dog owners must clean up after their dogs, monitor the health and behaviour of their dog to ensure it is fit, healthy and able to take part, ensure their dog is fully vaccinated to reduce the risk of spreading infection and must not bring their dog if she is in season.

Can I park at Walk of Light London?

Battersea Park has three pay and display car parks: Chelsea Gate, Rosery Gate, and Albert Bridge Gate, which are open Monday to Sunday and require payment via pay-and-display machines or the RingGo app for a fee. Blue Badge holders can park for free with no time limit on weekends.

Please consider taking public transport to the event to minimise carbon emissions. The closest tube station to Battersea Park is Battersea Power Station, from here it’s a short walk to the park.

Is the Walk of Light London route accessible?

The route has been designed to be as accessible as possible. You can take part in a wheelchair though we’d recommend having someone with you who can assist you if necessary.

Is the Walk of Light London route signposted?

The route will be fully signposted by our route team so you can find your way around and our team will be on hand to help you on the night if you need any support.

We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.
