You can make a difference
Over 16,000 lives a year are lost to blood cancer. These are the lives of mums, dads, sons, daughters and friends.
But there is hope in research.
Ellie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) an aggressive form of blood cancer. She received treatment that put her into remission for a while and her family dared to hope she would be ok.
But Ellie relapsed and underwent a stem cell transplant. After relapsing again she was able to access a drug called venetoclax. But by this time, her blood cancer had stopped responding to treatment.

Ellie Bray was 18 years old when she passed away, two years after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML)
Researchers need to identify markers in the DNA of people who will respond to receiving drugs like venetoclax earlier. This would mean they could receive the drug sooner, giving them the best possible chance of survival. If this drug had reached Ellie sooner, she could still be here today.
Your donation can fund crucial research like this, and give families more precious time together. Please give the gift of hope to a family like Ellie’s today.
