Join as a Community Group Leader and fund research, raise awareness, and support over 40,000 newly diagnosed people each year. With full training and support, you’ll unite your community to drive real change.

What you’ll do

  • Bring people together to host welcoming, inclusive group meetings.
  • Organise fundraising and awareness activities to connect and energise your community.
  • Motivate your group, share responsibilities, and celebrate successes together.
  • Raise awareness – learn about our work and help spread the message about blood cancer.
  • Use your people skills to build relationships, engage others, and encourage more people to get involved.
  • Be a friendly local face of Blood Cancer UK.

We’ll give you all the training, resources, and support you need to make a lasting impact.

You don’t need experience - just passion and a desire to make a difference. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has enthusiasm and drive.
  • Plans events confidently and takes initiative.
  • Communicates clearly, inspires others, and stays connected with our team.

The minimum age for this role is 18.

Supporting as a Community Group Lead is an unpaid role, but you can claim pre-approved volunteer expenses.

This role is completely flexible—give as much or as little time as you can. Typically, it may involve a few hours a month.
