Trial Treat Beat
Help us transform survival rates for the hardest to treat blood cancers
Too many people are dying of blood cancer
One in three people don’t survive their blood cancer and, even more shockingly, we lose them in the first five years after diagnosis - we're determined to change this.
Too many people are dying from the most complex and aggressive forms of blood cancer. Myelomas, high grade Lymphomas and Myeloid cancers are the hardest to treat blood cancers and account for 58% of all blood cancer deaths.
We're determined to save more lives
We’re launching Trial Treat Beat; a £25 million appeal to fund ground breaking research, including the first blood cancer clinical trials of this scale in the UK, and to strengthen our Clinical Trial Support Service and policy work.
£24 million for three large scale, innovative clinical trials
Traditional clinical trials test one treatment at a time. If it fails, researchers start again from scratch.
Trial Treat Beat will enable us to fund three large scale, innovative clinical trials known as multi arm, multi stage studies (MAMS), which allow researchers to test multiple treatments at the same time.
If a treatment isn't working, we drop it and add a new one. When promising therapies emerge, we test them immediately.
This means that we can develop personalised treatments at a much faster pace for the hardest to treat blood cancers.

£1 million to reach every person who needs us
Research discoveries only matter if patients can benefit from them.
The final £1m will help clinical trials breakthroughs reach everyone who needs them.
We'll invest in our Clinical Trials Support Service to make trials accessible to as many people as possible and in policy work so that trial outcomes are embedded into our future advocacy for better blood cancer care.
