Feel inspired and want to get involved with Blood Cancer UK in the North East? Do you want to be part of a fun, passionate and innovative team ready and raring to help raise awareness and fund the vital research to beat blood cancer sooner?

There are lots of opportunities to get involved;

  • You can sign up as an individual volunteer
  • Organise your own event
  • Get involved with one of our fundraising groups.
  • If there's not a group in your local area then please get in touch to chat about starting your own Community Group.

Starting a local Community Group is a really great way to raise vital funds to support blood cancer research and those affected by blood cancer, whilst also meeting new people and having lots of fun!

It doesn't have to mean lots of people or lots of hours, every single person and every penny raised can make a huge difference in bringing us closer to help beat blood cancer. From putting out collection tins in local shops, holding bucket collections in supermarkets or hosting your own fundraising events, our friendly Regional Relationships Team will help and guide you every step of the way. To find out more, please get in touch.

The South Tyneside Fundraising Group has been supporting the charity for a number of years, raising funds by cycling the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, hosting car-boot sales, collections and restaurant evenings, all to help beat blood cancer.

The North Northumberland Fundraising Group was established in 2010 and has been busy raising vital funds to beat blood cancer ever since. They are responsible for a number of well known historic events in the area, including the Holy Island Forget Me Not Walk

Our newly formed Durham Community Group has an exciting year planned and are looking for more members to join to help ideas become a reality. If you live in Durham and would like to get involved, please get in touch.
