Large granular lymphocytic leukaemia (LGLL)
Large granular lymphocytic leukaemia (LGLL) is a type of blood cancer that affects your white blood cells. Most types of LGL leukaemia develop slowly over time (chronic LGLL), but it can sometimes develop quickly (aggressive LGLL).

Understanding LGLL
LGLL is a type of blood cancer that affects your lymphocytes, which are type of white blood cell. Abnormal lymphocytes overproduce and cause symptoms of leukaemia.

Chronic LGLL
Around 95% of people with LGLL have a chronic form of LGLL. Most people who are diagnosed are over the age of 60, but it can happen in younger people too.

Aggressive LGLL
Aggressive LGLL accounts for around 5 in every 100 cases of LGLL (5%). This means there are very low numbers of people with aggressive LGLL.
