Blood cancer is unlike other cancers

Did you know that every day, over 110 people are diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK?

There are over 100 different types of blood cancer. This means that receiving an accurate diagnosis can take time, and it also means that blood cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to treat.

Blood cancer can't be 'cut out' like some other cancers. It lives in the blood and can travel freely around the body, multiplying and mutating as this happens.

That’s why blood cancer can require targeted treatments like stem cell transplants and immunotherapy.

Your support can make a real difference to our specialist research and help improve the lives of people affected by blood cancer.

What impact will my donation have?

Could pay for essential equipment to help researchers study blood cancer. This allows them to develop life changing drugs for people with blood cancer, helping them live longer and with fewer side effects from treatment.

Could provide one of our health information booklets to around ten people newly diagnosed with blood cancer, which will give them the power to better understanding their condition and guide them through their blood cancer journey.

Could help fund our support services, which provide much needed emotional and practical support to dozens of people affected by blood cancer in their time of need.
