Raise the profile of blood cancer
Despite being the fifth most common cancer and the third biggest cancer killer in the UK, blood cancer doesn’t receive the public profile of the other four common cancers. That’s why a big part of our strategy is to raise the profile of blood cancer, so we can reduce the harm that this lack of awareness is causing the blood cancer community.
Raise the profile, reduce the harm

Because people are less likely to be diagnosed quickly

Because blood cancer doesn't get enough political focus

Because people are less likely to understand what is wrong with them

Because people are less likely to access support and services

Because people are missing out on being part of a supportive community
Our mission is to beat blood cancer.

What can the community do to help?

What can professionals do to help?

Raising the profile and funding research must go hand in hand

What else is Blood Cancer UK doing to raise the profile?
