We're looking for enthusiastic volunteer videographers to capture our charity events and community activities across the UK. Your videos will help promote our work, engage supporters, and raise awareness of blood cancer. By showcasing diverse participants, you'll inspire others to get involved.

What you’ll do

  • Film high-quality footage for our website, social media, and other channels (content owned by Blood Cancer UK).
  • Capture staff, volunteers, and supporters at events.
  • Create a lively, supportive atmosphere by engaging with families and friends.
  • Follow briefs to film both candid and posed moments.
  • Edit footage (trimming, colour correction, audio tweaks).

What you’ll bring

  • A quality video camera and editing software.
  • Confidence filming and creating content for social media.
  • An eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Ability to follow briefs and work independently.
  • Friendly and confident with all kinds of people, including children.
  • Reliable and well-organised.
  • Your own equipment insurance (we can’t cover loss or damage).

FAQs: Volunteering as a videographer

The minimum age for this role is 18.

Supporting as a volunteer videorapher is an unpaid role, but you can claim pre-approved volunteer expenses.

Yes, we ask that you have access to a high-quality video camera, your own photography and editing equipment including software, and your own insurance to cover your equipment, as we are unble to cover loss, damage, or theft.

This flexible, ad-hoc role involves occasional on-site support at events or in the office. You can choose opportunities that fit your availability, with some events requiring 3–4 hours on-site and extra time for editing.
