Make a major gift
Ways to make a major gift
Whether you are an individual or are donating through a charitable foundation, major gifts help save the lives of people living with blood cancer.
There are multiple ways you can make a major gift. You can:
- Make a one-off donation.
- Make a regular gift.
- Give through a trust or foundation.
- Give through your company or place of work.
- Leave a gift in your will.
Get in touch
To explore these options further, simply get in touch with Amy Upton or Davina Levy at [email protected], or give them a call on 020 7504 2240. There are opportunities for you to dedicate your gift to a specific area of work, and the Philanthropy Team will be happy to discuss this with you.
What will you receive from us?
We recognise that making a gift of this size is a very personal decision. We want to make sure that you have opportunities to engage with our work in a way that suits you.
When you make a major gift, you will receive:
• A point of contact from a member of the Philanthropy Team.
• Regular communication on the impact of your giving.
• Invitations to exclusive in-person and online events.
Gift Aid and tax relief
Maximise your gift by completing a gift aid declaration (UK taxpayers only), or make sure you tick the Gift Aid box if you are giving online. This could increase your gift by 25%.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim back the difference between the tax you’ve paid on the donation and what the charity got back. For example, if you donate £100 to us, we can claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. As a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim back £25 (£125 X 20%). If you'd like to understand this further or ask any questions, don't hesitate to give us a call on 020 7504 2240
