How a referral supports people

Patients and carers say that being referred to Blood Cancer UK gives them clear, timely and easy to digest information that helps them understand the diagnosis, feel less overwhelmed and make better use of clinical appointments. They also describe feeling supported, reassured and connected - knowing there is somewhere reliable to turn for support alongside their clinical team.

"It was surprisingly effective in engaging me. It gave the two of us the opportunity to discuss what was going on in bite-sized chunks… I think it was a positive thing."
