Healthcare Professional Advisory Panel
Our Healthcare Professional Advisory Panel (HPAP) is made up of specialists from across the UK working in haemato-oncology and related professional fields.
Aims of the panel
The panel supports us to deliver the most beneficial patient support and informs our strategy on:
- Information and support services
- Policy and campaigns
- Healthcare professional education and engagement
- Research
- Clinical Trials Support Service
Members provide strategic leadership, clinical expertise, and support the development of the network and any projects it is involved with.
Meet the chairs
Professor Adrian Bloor
Consultant Haematologist at The Christie and a Honorary Clinical Professor at The University of Manchester. He specialises in CLL, lymphoid malignancies, stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies and clinical trials.
Professor Andrew Pettitt
Honorary Consultant Haematologist at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Professor at the University of Liverpool. He has a longstanding interest in lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and manages the treatment of people with these conditions as well as carrying out research and teaching.

The nurse representation of the panel is fulfilled by members of our nurses working group.
Our ambassador Camilla acts as our community voice, to make sure that people affected by blood cancer are at the heart of everything we do. If you are affected by blood cancer and would like to join, please get in touch.
How to join
We continue to seek clinical representation from healthcare professionals who are passionate about improving outcomes for the blood cancer community. We also need people affected by blood cancer to act as our community voice.

Our campaigns
We work with healthcare professionals, parliament and our blood cancer community to help raise awareness of blood cancer. Our campaigns aim to bring us closer to the day where no one dies of blood cancer or its treatment.
