Louis Walsh talks about his blood cancer diagnosis
During the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, Louis Walsh opened up about his blood cancer diagnosis.
Walsh said that he had a rare type of blood cancer, which he identified as 'Waldenström'.
Waldenström macroglobulinaemia (WM) is a slow-growing and rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). It affects blood cells called plasma cells.
He told the ITV programme that he had the cancer during the pandemic, but that it was now "all gone." Everyone at our charity is glad to hear Louis is doing well.
It did affect me mentally, I've got to be honest with you."

Louis was later interviewed during which he wore a Blood Cancer UK pin-badge while urging the public to listen to their bodies, and speak to a doctor if they felt anything might be wrong.
Louis said: “Please, for anyone reading this, and you don’t feel well, please, please go and get checked. If this interview encourages one person to go to a doctor, then this has all been worth it.”
We'd like to say a big thank you to Louis for helping raise awareness of the UK's fifth most common cancer.
