World Cancer Day: Help us shine a light on blood cancer

31st Jan 2023

This Saturday 4th Feb is #WorldCancerDay and we want you to help us shine a light on blood cancer. Why? Because despite being the fifth most common cancer, over 50% of UK adults can’t name a single symptom. Here's how you can get involved...

1. Share our video 👇

As you can see, too many people just don't know the facts about blood cancer. In fact, many people diagnosed with blood cancer don't even realise that they have a type of cancer. Please watch our video and share it on your social media channels.

2. Tell people these THREE key facts! 👇

Here are three key things we think people need to know:

  • Blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK.
  • Because blood cancer doesn’t have the same profile as the other five most common cancers, people are less likely to be diagnosed quickly.
  • Leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma are ALL types of blood cancer.
